After the liberation from German fascist invaders, the process of collectivization of the village began. It acquired its mass character in 1949. After the war, the village required a full reconstruction and in 1970s Ozery relieved its heyday. New school and rural club were built. Following the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986, the construction of the housing for the migrants from the polluted area began. Today it’s a detached neighborhood, nicknamed ‘chernobyl village’. In 2007 Ozery received the status of agro-town. In this regard, a general improvement of the whole town took place. These changes include the alteration of Lenin square, building of the new houses for the inhabitants and reconstruction of the local school.
Today our land is famous for its developed recreational base. Here you can find three health camps “Berezka”, “Druzhba” and “Ozery”. In famous yacht club “Vetraz” children and teenagers are trained in sailing and kayaking. Tourist camp “Himiki” enjoys great popularity. Agro tourism is under the active development nowadays. Amateurs of outdoor recreation are familiar with our agrolands “Hata Magnata”, “Ozersky Oazis”, etc., which are situated on the shores of the pond, where in ancient times first people began settlement. On the 3d of august 2003 the republican center of recreation “Ozerny” started functioning.
Ozery is one of the few agricultural enterprise to have it’s own hunting ground. European bison is a special trophy here. The very first 18 species were brought here from Belovezhskaya Pushcha in 1997. Today, having 200 species, it’s the biggest hunting farm in the world. Moreover, bison is a heraldic symbol of the region. A license to shoot bison costs 12.000 euro, so more and more willing to hunt on this powerful creature come to our region. On private fish planters near village Babrownia the fishery is conducted, but unfortunately the products are sold to the local consumer only.
In 1951 a nutria farm was established, but after it’s liquidation in 1955 it was turned into the fur farm. The first minks, foxes and artic foxes were brought there and in 1957 was the first product of the company. Currently, Grodno fur production is a modern industrial enterprise of high technology and production of fur raw materials, products of furs. Dark brown, pastelia and sapphire are the basic mink colors. Since 2007 Grodno fur production increases the supply of furs to world markets (particularly Saint Petersburg and Helsinki). Above all, fur production supplies Hong Kong, Japan, China, and Italy with European mink in six colors and Scandinavian shorthair in "brown" and "black". Since 1991 fur production is a party to the fur auctions in Helsinki, Leipzig and St. Petersburg. Recently the company changed the place of their permanent dislocate from the village Azery to the outskirts of the village Stryeuka. The basis for the move was the fact that the company was located in a green protection area
The history of forestry activities on the territory of modern Grodno region has a long tradition, with roots in the past. The official date of its establishment is considered to be 1946. Forestry specializes on the small-scale processing of wood and production on the basis of its parts, ornamental fencing, as well as garden stakes.
On the territory of the forest is a state reserve "Ozery". State nature protection institution "Republican landscape reserve "Ozery" has an area of 870, 9 23. The date of the occurrence of this environmental organization s is considered to be 2007.The Reserve is a wonderful place with never-ending forests. Forest from the comfort of where you can get almost to Vilnius. This is Grodno Pushcha. It is here that hunted Great Vytautas and the King of Poland Stefan Batory. The stag of St. Hubert, a symbol of the hunters in Europe, is in the arms of the city of Grodno not by chance.. And the village of Bershty used to be the duke’s residence completely. Thanks to the good "service", according to one legend, the Grand Duke Alexander have Grodno Magdeburg law. The reserve was created to preserve the natural unique forest and lake complex with rare species of plants and animals listed in the Red data book of Belarus.

Its very interesting and rich history has two religious pearls in the centre of the village: the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church.
